1 | FOLLOW THE SPARK
Stay tuned via Instagram (@thespark.europe) or the mailing list (sign up via website) and receive a series of 8 prayer-walking guides, plus event announcements and updates on our progress.
2 | DO A PRAYER WALK
Go for a prayer walk with a friend(s) and use the guide. The guides give biblical inspiration and challenge you to pray for different themes for your place, country and Europe.
3 | LOG YOUR PRAYER WALK
Go to www.thesparkeurope.com and simply enter with whom and where you did the prayer walk. Share a testimony, if you’d like. Think about who you can ask to join for another prayer walk, send them a message right away to plan your prayer walk.
4 | WATCH THE SPIRIT MOVE
Celebrate and be encouraged as God does what only God can do in hearts and across Europe.
We use the acronym P. R. A. Y. and follow those steps in the prayer walks:
We take time to slow down and become still in God’s presence. We choose not to rush to do something for God, and not to check the box that we prayed that day. Instead, we give ourselves the space to let go of where our thoughts are drawn and to be present and connected to what is on God’s heart.
REJOICE & REFLECT
After we become aware of God’s presence, we thank and acknowledge who God is and praise Him for it. It helps to know who we are talking to, and we know better how to continue the conversation with God. We also pay attention to God’s Word and remain open to what He wants to say to us today. We reflect on the Bible passage and respond to it in prayer.
Then, we look around and recognize the reality of our world in relation to the biblical world. We see the concrete needs and situations in our local places, our country and Europe, and we ask God to change them.
YIELD & YES
Yield represents surrender to God, choosing to join in Jesus’ prayer: “not my will, but yours be done” (Luke 22:42). At this point in the walk, we can commit ourselves, with our opinions, concerns, choices and more, to God and say “yes” to His direction in our lives.
